Our Beautiful Wedding!

Hey there little bunnies and kitties! It's been a while since i visited my page. So today i have decided to write about the most important event of my life, Our Beautiful Wedding!

Planning is the most exciting part of the wedding. You get to meet new faces. you get to create new ideas. you learn to have patience (haha) and experience magic that never ends! Along the way you learn to prioritize -- from the venue of the reception to our caterer, the photographer and videographer, the stylist and make-up artists, and so on and so forth.

We didn't have much time to meet with the suppliers because we are based  here in Singapore. But we had our Ate Aims who helped us with everything. She negotiated and managed to get the best deals in town! She definitely did a great job! (Thanks a lot, Ate Aims ;))
Now let's get into details!

I've always dreamed of having a garden wedding during sunset with birds chirping in the air, surrounded with beautiful flowers while the orchestra is playing a magical wedding march.

I really didn't have any idea about what cake to order or what concept to choose. One thing i learned was...  the whole cake was not edible! haha :D We ordered the 5 layer cake from Hearts and Bells. And only then did I realize that only the first two layers could be eaten and the rest were made of Styrofoam.

Now, I am not sure if you've already heard of them, but i would definitely recommend their service!

I also highly recommend K by Cunanan catering! They are simply the best! Everything was managed well. Most importantly, they made all what i imagined into reality -- from the food they served down to the many details of our lovely table arrangement, the adorable kid's corner! I don't have a decent pic (because our photographer forgot to...) but i got one from my brother's iPhone.

 Invitations

We had a problem with our invitations. Because i wanted a personalized invite, we had to go to Divisoria to look for a supplier that has cheaper packages.I managed to explain how i wanted the invitation to look like and what materials to use. they were actually agreeable to everything but in the end they failed me. Ouch! We paid for the services which were really horrible! We ended up asking a good fried to re-layout our invite and we had to contact another supplier, Printrade Society Printers, to do the printing. Again, thank God for his favor.

I am sure you all know that i love Moody Mary and i super love her accessories! 

 She was soo nice to make personalized bracelets for me and my bridesmaids as a gift! Oh how sweet of her! <3 (I'll post her link below in any case you want to see her collections)

Here are some of the samples she made for me :)
Do any of you know the flowers which adorned the left side of all the gentlemen's coats to add an accent? We call those boutonnieres. I have always wanted ours to be unique so i made my own designs based on our motif.

To fit the wedding theme we rented a vintage Jaguar MK2 model car. (Ain't she lovely? <3) By the way the driver of the car was a medical Doctor who is my brother's friend's dad.

 Make-Up Artist

Chryselle Sy did a great job because she achieved the look that i wanted. She used great products like what International make-up artists use. The only thing that made me sad was when she came without her vanity mirror and chair. I got a bit disappointed but overall her work was commendable! i loved my make-up! It lasted for almost 8 hours without any trace of oiliness!

The Hubby's Suit 

I personally selected the color of his suit, isn't he gwapo? <3 My husband already knows what he wants which is why it's easy for him to make decisions.

Gown

My gown was inspired by Queen Marie Antoinette, a Victorian-vintage kind of design. I love the flowers, laces and the materials used! It was perfect! (Don't you think so? :D)

Mark was really awesome! I was so impressed! The hubby hired him a few days before our wedding. Who happened to be the host of his cousin's wedding.

It feels like nothing has changed <3 but it gets more exciting each day. I am simply amazed how God works in our relationship.  

Marriage is a beautiful, priceless gift from God. It's about learning and daring to live a life filled with love and compassion. It is about learning how to lead your heart instead of following your heart. Everyone says follow your heart but if you are not leading it then someone else is. The key to a lasting relationship is choosing to lead your heart toward that which is best in the long run.We must understand that there will be some obstacles along the way but fear not because God is with us. If we are teachable we will learn to do the one thing that is most important in marriage, that is to LOVE. Because love is not a decision and not just a feeling. It is selfless, sacrificial and genuine.

 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is LOVE.
