Lubong for Bong!

I was at Citylink Mall yesterday when i saw this store that sells popcorn with different flavors like caramel, almonds, macadamia and cheese. The smell's so good that it really caught my attention. A small bag of popcorn costs 8 to 9 dollars. But it depends on what flavor you'll take. It's not that expensive and not too cheap as well.  I don't really like popcorns but i thought of buying some for my love :)

Only to find out that he doesn't like it either. FAIL! Haha :D 

This made me realize that no matter how long we've been together, there will always be new things we'll discover about each other everyday :)

The scone is believed to have originated from Scotland. Just like any other bread it is basically made of wheat flour, sugar, butter, baking soda and sometimes eggs. But what makes it so special? Hmm... i don't know either. Hehe ;p come on! let's find out :D

It was actually a little surprise from Calvin. He wanted me to have a taste of the scone so he went to the grocery store and bought all the things needed to prepare his " strawberry cream scones ala lugtu" And this is all because of the Royal Wedding fever. Haha ;p

Here's how to prepare your bread. 

- First you have to slice your scones into manageable and spreadable sizes

- Then spread some butter on it followed by cream cheese.

- Finally top it up with  a little amount of strawberry jam. (it depends how much you want it) 

jaraaaan! my small cake is ready! 

According to Calvin, it wont be perfectly delish if you do it any other way. Hehe ;p

According to a survey by Consumer Report Shop Smart ( http://shopsmartmag.org/ ), the average woman owns 17 pairs of shoes but only wears 3 pairs regularly. How true is that ladies?? Personally, I couldn't agree more! :)

Right now i have more than 30 pairs of shoes and slippers plus my 2 winter boots. Haha. Yes! Despite living in a tropical country i still managed to own boots :D How "arte" can i be? haha ;p 

Tomorrow will be my first day in DBS. I thought buying a new pair of shoes will be an excuse! <grin> 

I happily went to the mall and checked the shoe stores in Plaza Singapura, OG Orchard Point and 313 Somerset. I am not really particular about how much a pair will cost me as long as it feels comfortable :) And I am sure everyone agrees with that. Although I am not referring to the Christian Louboutin's and Jimmy Choo's which are frightfully expensive! I will only go for the not so expensive one :D Haha ;p 

After searching far and wide, I saw and fell in love with a pair of black flats with a cute ribbon @ Marks&Spencer which costs SGD$89. it's not that expensive compared to ALDO. However, it's not practical for me to spend this much given the fact that i've already missed 2 paydays! Haha. Oh well, i roamed around further and  finally discovered these lovely flats in BATA. i was so happy with my catch that i ended up buying two pairs! 

When i went back, Calvin asked me what shoes i bought and i said i picked the one in BATA. He replied " Eeeew" Haha i was really surprised to hear that from him. But since he paid for them, i just smiled and said thank you :D 

Just to let you know, BATA is an international brand, based in Bermuda, which was founded in 1894. It was established even before the World War 1. It has retail stores in over 50 countries. Aside from women's shoes, they also sell pairs for men and kids, belts, wallets and bags. I haven't given them much attention until today because i find their shoes unattractive :D But to my surprise these two pairs fit me very well! And i only paid SGD$54.95 for these lovely doll shoes! *wink!

Good buy huh? :D

Yang in my heart

Hey girls! i'd like you to meet my brother Mark! Most of the time we call him "Yang" short for "Koyang" in our dialect ( Kapampangan). I am two years older than him but i grew up thinking that he is my "koyang" ( eldest brother) because he always act like one hehe ;p. I tell you he's the brother that you would love to have. Lucky us! 

I suddenly miss his "kakulitan and kacornyhan" he loves to joke around and talk about everything that is happening in our barangay, haha believe me our neighbors call him "konsehal" (councilor). Because he always roam around our subdivision, check if everyone is alright and make new friends. He's a friendly guy, isn't he? :) Talk about being friendly, ask me how many girlfriends he had to date? Haha ;p sorry Yang i have to disclose your secret! haha ;p Ooops! but i love my brother and i choose to zip my mouth :D Hehe ;p But he's a one-woman-man now and he is deeply inlove with a beautiful primary school teacher named Kat. 

He took up Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering (BSMarE) and graduated on 2008 at the Philippine Marine Institute ( Quezon City, Manila). But he explored much in a construction industry with my Dad. Until he decided to study again and this time to have a diploma in Civil Engineering. And now, let's say yes to MATHEMATICS! hehe ;p "Agyu mu yan Yang!" ( you can do it brother! )

Yang, I am sure that God has amazing things stored up for you. He wants to exceed your expectations. He will take you to places that you've never dreamed and do things in your life that you've never imagine. Don't let discouragement hold you back or keep you down. Didn't do much today but spent half of my day sitting and preparing a video clip for Ate Carol's birthday.

My fren (Rea) is not yet home  and it's already 10pm. wonder where she is now...

Way to go Pugo!

I am a proud Ate of a 20 year old "pugo" who graduated yesterday ( April 1, 2011) with the degree of ( i don't exactly know, haha )  Micro Biology @ the University of Sto. Thomas. Just to give you a bit information about him, he is our youngest brother. Just like our Daddy he is also a Math genius. And for the record he graduated as the class valedictorian when he was in High School, smart boy huh? ;p And yea we call him Pugo because we just want to! haha ;p nah it's a family secret, hehehe ;p oh well time really flies and i can't wait 'til he becomes a doctor. 

Congratulations Pugs! Thank God for his grace and favor into your life. Continue to be the salt and the light wherever you go. I know it will not be easy but i am confident that you will make it. One more lap and you're good to go!

He makes me smile, he gives me flowers, he writes me letters, he kisses me on my forehead, everything feels perfect! 

We are dating for a couple of years now. Just like how everybody does, we go out and watch movies, we shop together, we love to try new things and we definitely love adventures! We are like kids who love to discover the beauty of nature.

One day he asked me to go out, he bought me a new dress and he asked me to wear the most beautiful lipstick i have, i answered " hmm... ok i'll see you tonight then :) " i was excited and at the same time anxious. But i still dressed up and prepared for our date ;) 

That night a voice whispered in my ears and asked "will you marry me?"  ( woah! <surprised> <teary-eyed> ) guess what? i gladly said YES!! :) who wouldn't want to? :) that time i felt i was in heaven. But that didn't last long, because when i opened my eyes it was a different man who's infront of me. I tried to escape, i hid, screamed... and i finally woke up. Thank God it was just a dream.
